When are lessons held?
Ground lessons are required for all new students.
2 ground lessons are held every Sunday. One in the AM and one in the evening.
Water lessons are scheduled based on wind, weather, and tides. The conditions we look for are 10-30mph depending on your skill level, no thunderstorms, and start time from 3-4hrs before low tide. You can find a great forecast here.
How do I get signed up?
There are 3 options
1. Show up to one of the ground lessons on Sunday and sign up in person.
2. If you know for sure you want to take a lesson in the next few weeks send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
please include your name, the number of people interested, and your availability. Next pay the deposit (here) and join my FB group (here). I will post all upcoming openings in the group but reach out to you when there are lessons that work with your schedule.
3. If you are not yet sure you want to take a lesson please follow my main FB page (here) send an email to benny@nekiteschool letting me know you are interested. When you decide it’s time to get started with your kiteboarding lessons please follow the instructions above.
How much do lessons cost?
All students begin with the Kite Camp. In this lesson we learn about safety, decision making and spend 3hrs in the water learning how to fly the kite like a pro. It is 5hrs and the cost is $450 minus deposit. (2 person max)
The second lesson is the Board Camp. In this class we work on all skills related to board riding. By the end of this class most students are ready to get out and practice on their own. It is 4hrs and the cost is $350 minus deposit. (2 person max)
*Group rates are available if you have an event or large group wishing to learn together.
*All lessons are paid in cash the day of your lesson.
What if we have to cancel?
If we cancel due to bad wind or weather I will either return your deposit or we can reschedule and put it towards the next lesson.
If you cancel it must be at least 48hrs before the lesson to get a full refund.
What should I bring?
Kite, Bar, Board, and Harness are provided with the lesson.
All student must bring their own wetsuit and booties.
*Wetsuits and booties are available for rent or purchase.
A towel, water, and sunblock are suggested but at your own discretion.
What age groups can take lessons?
There are no age requirements but children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 16 must have a parent present in lesson.
How many students per lesson?
Private lessons must be requested ahead of time and will be just you. Kite Camp and Board Camp will have a maximum of 2 students.

Where are lessons held?
Teaching spots vary by the wind and conditions for that day. Normal teaching locations are Revere Beach (in front of 510 Revere Beach blvd.) or Dog Beach in Nahant (meet in front of Tides restaurant) or Waquoitt Bay in Mashpee, MA
Lessons abroad are available during the off season. Please call to inquire about guided kite trips.
What is the parking situation?
Parking in Revere is free but can be hard to find a spot in the Summer (come 30 min early to find parking) Parking in Nahant requires a pass and is $10 per day, parking can be VERY tight in the Summer (come 60 min early to find a parking spot) Parking in Waquoitt Bay is free but very limited space available. (we can carpool down to increase odds of getting a space)
